About this badge
From Germany’s solar feed-in tariffs to the US Department of Energy’s ARPA-E initiative, government programs have played a critical role in the growth of the clean energy economy. As consumer and technology trends have evolved, so too has public policy. Yet, well-intentioned policies can just as often lead to unintended consequences and wasteful spending. Through a combination of local and international case studies, group discussions, and in-class debates, examine success and failure in government-led policies and regulations shaping the growth of clean energy technologies and industries in an effort to address climate change.
