If you have never studied Mandarin before, begin learning the language in this introductory course. Emphasis is placed on listening, speaking, reading, and writing, along with basic pronunciation and tones through vocabulary, useful expressions, and structures. Learn the Pinyin transliteration system and basic radicals. Both traditional and simplified characters are taught, and by the course’s conclusion, have 120 characters mastered. Classes are conducted in Mandarin whenever possible.
