About this badge

This course offers a solid introduction to the Mandarin language. In 51 hours of classroom instruction and six hours of guided field trips, learn basic vocabulary and grammar and engage in elementary conversation. Through visits to Chinese neighborhoods in New York City, practice the language, sample the cuisine, and experience the culture. This course is an excellent introduction for those who plan to travel to China or to participate in a study-abroad programs.
