About this badge
This course is for high-intermediate students of English. Students focus on reading and writing for both general and academic purposes. Students read news articles, essays, and other works of fiction and nonfiction, paying special attention to how the content is organized. Students study complex sentence structures, write detailed paragraphs, and examine essay forms. By the end of the course, students will be able to write both summaries and complete essays based on readings. The complement to this course is ESL Listening and Speaking VI/CESL1-CE9026, which must be taken at the same time.
