About this badge
This course is designed to introduce some key aspects of the language of medicine in a comparative perspective, the more common genres of medical translation, and the tools needed for delivering high-quality medical translations. The types of texts selected for practice include patient information, instructions for medicine and instrumentation, labels, medical research abstracts, consent forms, and research protocols. Participate in a live Translators Without Borders project of your choosing to explore the scope of medical translation for humanitarian purposes. Acquire a robust skill set for approaching and successfully translating a range of increasingly technical medical documents.
