This program is designed to provide the core concepts and principles of financial accounting and reporting. In the four-course Certificate in Financial Accounting, students learn how to prepare financial statements, including statements of cash flow, and how to account for cash, accounts receivable, inventory, fixed assets, and stockholders’ equity.
Upon completion of the program, students have attained a solid working knowledge of:
- Key elements of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and their application in real-world situations
- Financial transaction recording and preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and statements of cash flow
