About this badge

This certificate is designed for individuals with little or no project management experience, as well as for those interested in advancing their project management skills. The program provides the knowledge and techniques necessary to operate successfully as a project manager (PM) in a variety of industries, including business and IT. NYU-SCPS has been reviewed and approved as a provider of project management training by the Project Management Institute (PMI). As a PMI Registered Education Provider (R.E.P.), NYU-SCPS abides by PMI-established quality assurance criteria.

Upon completion of the program, students are prepared to:
- Take the Project Management Professional (PMP®) exam—the industry credential
- Manage a project from start to finish and communicate effectively with a project team
- Understand contracts and procurement for projects
- Use Microsoft Project software
- Identify and use the skills described in the Project Management Body of Knowledge
- Take advanced courses in project management to maintain PMP® certification and to earn professional development units (PDUs)
